What we pay $$CASH$$ for:

 

TEXTBOOKS

• We purchase any current textbook from any college

• Price will be determined based on condition and popularity

• Our prices are very competitive with the college bookstores and online venues

• Most textbooks are replaced with new editions about every 2.5 years, so we may not be able to buy older editions

CDS/DVDS/AUDIO BOOKS

• All disks must be in original cases with original artwork

• All Disks must be completely UNSCRATCHED

• We typically accept all genres of music and movies

• All items we purchase will be based on Popularity and whether we already have copies in stock

• We typically pay $1.00 for older DVD's and CD's. New Release items may bring more

 

BOOKS

• We usually only pay cash for very New Release books, religious commentary sets and minister libraries (by Appointment only)

 

 

Trade Policy

 

Trade credit will be given for books that are in high demand, and that we do not currently have in stock. It has become increasingly difficult for us to remain in business if we accept every book that was bought in the store...potentially turning us into a library instead of a thriving, independent, local bookstore.

 

Due to this, we have been forced to ammend our trade credit policy to reflect these changes. Our trade policy is a courtesy to our customers and NOT our primary method of obtaining inventory. Therefore, we will ONLY accept those books that we are in need of at the current time.

 

• Books purchased from Got Books! are not automatically accepted for trade

• Books we accept must be clean and free of damage and stains

• We will accept items that are popular and that we do not have in stock

• For items that we accept we will give up to half of what we sell it for, and that credit can be used for any media item in the store that is not NEW or SPECIAL ORDER (Trade Credit Never Expires)

• Trade Credit can be used for 50% of purchase amount.

• Remaining trade credit can be used on next visit.

 

ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT

 

• VHS TAPES

• MAGAZINES

• ENCYCLOPEDIAS

• HARDCOVER FICTION Once it comes out in paperback (some exceptions like Stephen King Harry Potter etc.)

• ITEMS THAT ARE STAINED, WATER DAMAGED OR HAVE PET SMELL

• DISKS THAT ARE SCRATCHED OR NOT IN THE ORIGINAL CASES

• ITEMS THAT WE ALREADY HAVE IN STOCK
